Toward Wealth is a financial planning and wealth management practice located in the far western suburbs of Chicago. My goal is to partner with you to create and implement a financial plan tailored to your specific goals, passions and timeframe. I have experience in helping navigate life transitions such as retirement, job change, divorce, and death of a spouse/loved one. During my 30 year plus career, I have served investors through all life stages including couples, single people, business owners, families, and I especially love working with women.
When I started my career in the early 1990s, I joined a large financial services company with a decent starting salary and retirement plan with a generous savings-match incentive. For every dollar I deferred, the employer contributed $1.25 up to 4% of my salary. Yes, you read that correctly: they offered to contribute more than I did. I know this is not a possibility for most people today, so I am motivated to find innovative ways to help others with strategies tailored to their personal situation.
I also took a different approach to spending. Because the internet was not yet widely utilized at all, much less as a destination for shopping, my spending was more contained. I was not continually bombarded with social media-related marketing that makes it so easy to put shoes in a cart and deliver them in an instant. I was, by default, granted a measure of financial self-control – one that I can now help others establish in their own lives.
The bottom line is that it is much harder to plan now. Whether you remember the past I’ve described OR can’t at all relate to that era, I can help you. To do so, I’ll ask you to do what I did: commit to financially strong habits while making intentional decisions toward your wealth.

On a personal note, I am married to my long-time great partner and friend. I have two pretty-much grown children and a senior dog who is my shadow. In my free time, I love to plan trips to old and new places as well as dinner reservations for the same. I commit to exercise three to four days a week. I love to be outside; the sun is my powerful motivator.
